Biografie
Pim van Klij is sportarts, momenteel werkzaam in Amsterdam UMC als Assistant Professor en als clubarts bij AFC Ajax. Hij promoveerde in 2021 op ‘The development of the non-perfect hip in young athletes’ (Erasmus MC) en was eerder tevens werkzaam in Isala, en hoofd medische staf van PEC Zwolle en Landstede Hammers. Momenteel richt zijn werk zich voornamelijk op heup- en liesblessures bij vrouwelijke atleten en ‘female athlete health’.

Samenvatting presentatie
This talk will address the growing need for more inclusive, gender-specific research in the field of hip and groin health. By highlighting the existing gaps in literature, we will emphasize the importance of studying female-specific biomechanics, hormonal impacts, and diverse clinical presentations. A shift toward more tailored research will ensure that both male and female patients receive care that is informed by their unique physiological differences, ultimately improving outcomes for all individuals.
